Default Would you play at a "player casino"?

I was running through the Nolani city mission, when I saw Icee Blade (Yes, this idiot had two e's in his name) advertising a casino game. So I was wondering if anyone would even put down 100 gold for some fun at a casino game hosted by a player?

I know I did.

Heh, even though they are a total scam, if I were bored enough I might since gold is so easy to come by anyway. The problem is the casino spamming is very annoying and feeding these cheats does nothing to encourage them to just bugger off.

Casinos arent supposed to be "cheats", they are supposed to be like a real casino in real life.

You make a bet, the odds are against you but if you win thats great, your rich.
But it is a business and the house will always make money after the few people who win.

It's all in the economy, this game has a small economy, nothing like some other games i've played. For instance, FFXI economy is huge, tons of stuff influence it, in this game it's just those sigils i guess.

All in all Casinos are fun, if you dont like the spam isn't there a way to block that persons chat?

Thats why two people agree to play each other for awhile, so they can group up and run outside a city.

Sounds good on paper, but sadly doesn't work that way in practice.

No, I always have something better to do with my time then play some lame random game where the other player may or may not cheat me.

On a side note, to all the casinos out there, if you want to increase your odds of winning no matter what game you play there is a simple trick. To increase your odds of winning about 33% just open up your computer case, find your video card and spread peanut butter and jelly all over it. Then play for a few hours, this will increase my enjoyment of the game approximately 33% because I wont have to deal with you clogging every channel in every district.

HARUMP!

This note is for stupid people: I lie.

Perhaps, but it has certainly failed me as 99.9% of casino runners/players aren't you and they don't leave the city. They just spam the place up with their casino drivel.

Well, I cant imagine why I'd want to gamble unless I'm really bored. I have everything I need (or rather I can buy or upgrade)... so I'm kinda at a loss in the whole money thing.

I'm on the fencepost on this game, no doubt casino spam will put me over the edge.

Areanet is aware of the casinos, and have made a post that anyone caught scamming through the use of a casino, through trade, or advertising hacks/cheats, will be banned from the game and accounts deleted. This comes from a post by Gaile from another forum.

They are allowed for the time being. There are rumors that the /roll command maybe removed.

You wanna talk about a casino scam?

Try a guy advertising "Roll a 1 on a 4 sided die and double your money!."

That's about the worst odds I've ever heard. Even worse than Keno in Vegas which has the worst odds in that damnable city, short of someone smashing your head in and rifling your pockets. You may as well bend over and let him have a go.

No I don't gamble, but I have an interest in number theory and a buddy of mine is a real blackjack card counter in Vegas.

ahh card counting, greta isn't it. Good for you, bad for you when the casino finds out.

In Addition: they should offer blackjack at these damn in-game casinos
